Make a free page customers can pay from: a business page with your timings and WhatsApp number, a price list they tap to pay, or a personal page with quick amounts. Share one link; customers pay you directly from their own UPI app. No login: you get a private edit link instead.
Pick a page type
Every page has your name, a one-line description (up to 160 characters) and your UPI QR. Then pick one of three types:
Personal (tutor, freelancer, shagun): up to four quick amounts, such as ₹501, ₹1,100 and ₹2,100, or an open amount the customer types, plus a payment note such as "Tuition fees" that travels with each payment.
Business (shop, clinic, salon): your address, timings, WhatsApp number and a Google Maps link, so people can find you or ask before they pay, plus quick amounts and a payment note.
Price list (baker, café, tiffin): up to 40 items with prices, such as "Chocolate cake 1 kg, ₹850" and "Brownie box of 6, ₹320". A customer taps one and pays exactly that amount, and the item's name becomes the payment note.
Details without a field of their own, such as an order cut-off time or a booking number, go in the one-line description: "Orders till 6 pm. WhatsApp 98xxxxxxxx."
The money goes from the customer's UPI app straight to your bank account, the same as with a QR. We never touch it.
How customers pay from your page
Your page shows a Pay button, your QR and your UPI ID, which customers can tap to copy. Which one a customer uses depends on their phone and the amount:
- On a different phone or a computer, they scan your QR with their UPI app's camera. Works for any amount within their limit.
- On the same phone, they tap your UPI ID to copy it and pay to it from their UPI app. Works for any amount within their limit.
- The Pay button opens their UPI app with the amount filled in. Since April 2024, NPCI has told apps to block these link payments when the money goes to a personal UPI ID, so customers may see "This transaction may be risky". If that happens, they copy your UPI ID instead. The button works for verified merchant UPI IDs.
- A screenshot of your QR picked from their gallery is limited to ₹2,000 per payment for personal UPI IDs.
For anything above ₹2,000, the simplest line to put in your note or message is: "Copy the UPI ID and pay to it."
This isn't a payment gateway, and that's the point
A payment gateway confirms each payment automatically and usually charges a fee or needs a business sign-up. A pay page does neither: it helps customers pay you directly, and you confirm payments in your own UPI or bank app. It suits small sellers who'd rather not sign up for a gateway and are happy to check their phone.
Writing a price list people can use
Name things the way customers ask for them. "Chocolate cake 1 kg" beats "Item 4". "Maths, Class 8, monthly" beats "Batch B".
Put the size or quantity in the name. "Brownies, box of 6" stops the question before it's asked.
One price per line. If a cake comes in half and one kilo, make them two lines.
Keep it short. Ten clear items beat forty.
Say what happens after payment. "We'll confirm your order on WhatsApp within an hour" turns a payment into a conversation you can finish.
Pages that work
| Business | Page type | What it carries |
|---|---|---|
| Home baker | Price list | Cakes and boxes with prices; order cut-off time and WhatsApp number in the description |
| Tuition teacher | Personal | Monthly fees as quick amounts, "Fees" as the note, batch timings in the description |
| Salon or parlour | Business | Timings, WhatsApp number for bookings, Maps link, quick amounts for common services |
| Tiffin service | Price list | Weekly and monthly plans with prices; delivery area in the description |
| Housing society | Personal | Maintenance amounts as quick amounts; due date and treasurer's number in the description |
| Freelancer | Personal | Quick amounts or an open amount; payment terms in the description |
No login. A private edit link instead.
When you create the page, you get two links.
Your public link. Share it anywhere: WhatsApp, your Instagram bio, your Google Business Profile, a printed card.
Your private edit link. It's how you change prices, timings or anything else later, or delete the page. Both links are also saved under "My items" in the browser you made the page on.
Keep the edit link private. Anyone who has it can change your page, including the UPI ID that payments go to. Don't post it in a group, send it to a customer, or screenshot it into a shared chat.
If you lose it, we can't recover it. There's no account or email behind the page, so there's nothing to reset. Make a new page and share the new link. If the old page needs to come down, use "Report this page" on it or contact us.
A good habit: open your public page once a week and check that the UPI ID and name shown are still yours.
Keeping scammers off
Every page has a Report this page link. A page reported several times is hidden until we review it.
New pages can't use phrases scammers rely on, such as "customer care", "KYC", "helpline", "lottery" or "refund", or present themselves as a bank, a payment app or a government body. If your page is refused for a word like this, reword it.
Where to share it
Instagram bio. The one link customers tap from your profile. Add it to stories as a link sticker too.
WhatsApp. Send it to regulars, pin it in your business group, and add it to your WhatsApp Business profile.
Google Business Profile. Add it as your order or website link, so people who find you on Maps can pay ahead.
Printed cards and bills. Print the QR from the page, plus the link for people who'd rather type.
Pay page, QR or payment request?
| You need | Use |
|---|---|
| Customers paying at your counter | A printed QR |
| One link for everything you sell, used again and again | A pay page |
| One person to pay one specific amount | A payment request |
| A button on your own website | The pay button |
| A bill with GST and line items | An invoice |
When a customer says they've paid
Check your own UPI app or bank app, not the customer's screenshot. Match the amount, the time and the note.
Questions
Do I need an account to make a pay page?
No. You get a private edit link instead of a login.
What if I lose the edit link?
Check "My items" in the browser you made the page on. If it isn't there, it can't be recovered: there's no account behind it. Make a new page, and report or ask us to remove the old one.
Can I delete my page?
Yes, from your edit link. A page nobody has opened for 12 months is also deleted automatically.
Can customers pay without an ezyupi app?
There is no ezyupi app. Customers open your page in their browser and pay with the UPI app they already use.
Does the money pass through ezyupi?
No. Payment goes from the customer's UPI app to your bank account.
Why does the Pay button fail for some customers?
Since April 2024, UPI apps block link and button payments to personal UPI IDs. Your page shows your UPI ID, which customers can tap to copy; they pay to that ID instead.
Can I change prices later?
Yes, from your edit link.
Can I have more than one pay page?
Yes. Make one per business or per class; each gets its own links. One connection can save up to 10 items an hour (pages, invoices, requests and collections together).
Is this a payment gateway?
No. It doesn't confirm payments automatically or charge fees. You check payments in your own UPI or bank app.
Instagram bio ke liye UPI payment link kaise banaye?
Is page par apna naam, UPI ID aur rate list daal kar page banaiye. Aapko ek public link milega, use Instagram bio mein daal dijiye. Customer link kholkar item chunega aur apni UPI app se seedha aapko payment karega. ₹2,000 se zyada ho to customer se kahiye ki page par aapki UPI ID tap karke copy kare aur usi par payment kare.
