About ezyupi

ezyupi turns a UPI ID into a QR code you can print. That's the core of it, along with tools that grow out of the same idea: pay links and pay pages, invoices with a QR on them, bill splitting, group collections, and plain guides to the rules behind UPI.

Why it exists

Getting paid digitally in India should be the easy part. For a kirana shop, a tuition teacher or someone selling cakes from home, it often isn't. Free QR generators are cluttered with ads, the clean ones want a signup, and payment companies want you on a merchant account with documents and a settlement cycle.

None of that is necessary to put a QR on a counter. A UPI QR is a short, standard, public format. Making one should be free, instant and anonymous. So we built it that way: type your UPI ID, get your QR, print it, go back to work.

What we believe

Free means free. No trial that runs out and no cut of your payments. Printed cards and invoices carry a small "ezyupi.com" credit; nothing covers your code.

You shouldn't need an account to make a payment code. So you don't.

Plain language beats jargon. Our guides are written for the person at the counter, not for a fintech team.

Honesty about limits. We tell you what our tools can't do, like confirming payments or acting as a gateway, and when an NPCI rule means a link or button won't work, so you know what to do instead.

What we don't do

We never touch your money. When someone pays you, the money goes from their UPI app to your bank account directly. We're not in that path, we hold no funds, and we have no settlement account.

We don't make you sign up. No account, no email, no phone number.

We're not affiliated with NPCI, any bank or any UPI app. We make codes in a published standard. App names on this site identify apps that read that standard; they belong to their owners.

How we check our information

Our guides cover rules that affect people's money, so we hold them to a standard.

Primary sources first. NPCI circulars and specifications, RBI notifications and government tax rules. We link the official text wherever we can; where we relied on a published copy or a news report instead, the source line names it.

Sources on the page. Every guide lists what it relied on.

Dates on anything that changes. Limits, charges and rates change, so pages carry the date they were last checked.

We say when we're not sure. Where something couldn't be confirmed, the page says so instead of guessing.

Corrections are welcome. A handle mapped to the wrong bank, a limit that's changed, a step that no longer matches an app: tell us, and we'll fix it and update the date.

What happens to what you type

Making a QR or a pay link: the QR is drawn in your browser. To build the pay link at the same time, what you type is sent to our server as you type, encrypted into the link, and not saved.

Pay pages, invoices, payment requests and group collections: these are saved on our server so their links work, each with a private edit link for you. One that nobody opens for 12 months is deleted automatically.

The QR decoder and UPI ID checker: they run on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
